Message from Chancellor Katherine P. Frank:
"Dear UW-Stout Faculty, Staff, and Students,
I’m pleased to announce that today we hit the 70% vaccination rate for students. This goal was set by UW System as part of their 70 for 70 program. As a result of reaching this goal, fully vaccinated students who upload proof of vaccination will be eligible to win several UW System-sponsored scholarships, as well as seven, $7,000 scholarships awarded by UW-Stout. In addition to the scholarships, students are eligible to win several prizes through Stout’s “Do Your Part” vaccination incentive program.
We will be recognizing this achievement on Monday, October 11 at 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. in the Memorial Student Center Amphitheater. UW System President Tommy Thompson will be on campus to hand out ice cream and celebrate this milestone. This event will also kick off our Homecoming week activities. I hope everyone can attend!"
