We Are The Willows is the project of Minneapolis based singer/ songwriter/ producer Peter M. His unique countertenor voice is often supported by Jeremiah Satterthwaite (guitar), Travis Collins (bass/ voice), Hilary James (cello/ voice), and Josh McKay (drums). Whether as a band or a solo artist, we are the willows crafts dynamic songs with a contemplative air. The songs cover a lot of conceptual ground: from family history to modern social life and personal identity.
Join us for another TNO in the Terrace with opener Arlo Cristofaro starting at 8pm, followed by We Are The Willows at 9pm!
We will be carving our own patterns out of cuttlefish bone to cast metal objects in!

What is the relationship between liberty and slavery in the birth of the United States? Leaders of the founding have come under intense scrutiny for their simultaneous championing of American liberty while also enslaving Black people in their personal and professional lives. What did the leaders of this new nation think about slavery? How did they reconcile this with their convictions in American liberty?
Join us for a discussion with Dr. Edward J. Larson, Hugh and Hazel Darling Chair in Law and University Professor at Pepperdine University. Larson is the author of seven books and is the recipient of the 1998 Pulitzer Prize in History.
This event is Wednesday, November 15th, from 3:00-4:30pm at the Memorial Student Center (Ballroom A). There are 20 free copies of Dr. Larson's book, which you can pick up Instructional Resource Services, 3rd floor of the Library (these are first come, first serve). CHEM 110 – Chemistry in our World, 4-credits, is offered completely online this WinTerm for 4 weeks. This course meets the Natural Science with Lab requirement of the Stout Core (General Education). CHEM 110 discusses the fundamental role of chemistry in our daily lives. It focuses on contemporary issues to introduce chemical concepts. Student researchers, don’t miss the chance to represent UW-Stout at Research in the Rotunda, a Universities of Wisconsin event at the State Capitol on March 6, 2024. The University Student Senate is the legislative body of the Stout Student Association and meets weekly to discuss university policy and shared governance, allocate fees, promote new initiatives in support of the students, and hear from campus leaders.
