"Thor: Love and Thunder" finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he's ever faced -- a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi), and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman).
Join Eric Kasper (UW-Eau Claire), Adam Kunz (UW-Eau Claire), Tim Shiell (UW-Stout), and Jim Szymalak (UW-La Crosse) for a day of discussions around the history of expressive rights and free speech justifications!
Students who complete the workshop will receive a $250 stipend - and students traveling from outside of Eau Claire are eligible for an additional $150 travel stipend! Breakfast provided!
Deadline to apply is October 21st, 2022, but only 24 students will be accepted, so don't wait to apply!
To apply for the workshop, email Tim Shiell. Your application should include a statement of interest in the workshop topic and your student ID number.
We are looking to hire a graphic designer! We would love to have you start in the beginning of November, but if this is not possible, we are totally willing to work something out. This is a paid position of course, and you can apply this job towards your co-op credit. You would be working directly in the Housing Office (aka on campus), completing a wide variety of projects for in-house clients. If you are interested in applying, please submit a cover letter, resume, and either a PDF portfolio or a link to your website on the Housing Gateway.
Questions? Concerns? Comments?...address them with Housing Design.
Applications are due at 11:59pm on October 31st. We hope to hear from you!
