We will be collecting new and gently used outer layer winter gear items like hats, gloves, jackets, etc. All donations will go directly to Helping Hands right here on campus, supporting folks on our campus, in our Stout community! Drop off your donations anytime from 8:00am-7:00pm in the Involvement Center (MSC 106) Monday, February 24 – Friday, February 28!

Student Organizations who participate in donating will get 5 points per item for their org! Make sure if you are donating for your org, you scan the QR code and fill out the survey listing how many items you dropped off! If you have any questions, feel free to email us at involvement@uwstout.edu

We're Hiring, Summer Housing Employment

Summer Assistant Positions: These positions include summer roadies, summer assistants, maintenance assistants, and transport assistants. Roadies is a one week position that assist in getting the summer started. Summer assistants work hall and central office front desks to serve conference guests and students as well as custodial and maintenance tasks to prepare for future guests and students. Maintenance assistants work to do summer hall maintenance.

Transport assistants work with custodial material to prepare halls for students to arrive in the fall. Compensation $12.50 per hour (staff who have worked for us for 2+ summers start at $12.75) A $1.00 hourly pay increase will be applied to hours worked 6am-9pm on weekends. A $2.00 hourly pay increase will be applied to hours worked 9pm-6am. On-campus housing is not included, however Housing Summer Staff members are eligible to purchase an on-campus summer student housing contract for up to the duration of the summer. The University Student Senate is the legislative body of the Stout Student Association and meets weekly to discuss university policy and shared governance, allocate fees, promote new initiatives in support of the students, and hear from campus leaders.
