Subject: Reminders for SACM Students

Hi First_Name,

FINANCIAL GUARANTEES

As a reminder, we need new Financial Guarantees which cover the Fall 2020 semester (end date of December 22, 2020). If you have not already requested or received a Financial Guarantee for this period, please request one NOW.

Once you receive a Financial Guaranee, please send it to me at globaled@uwstout.edu

As you know, Financial Guarantees are also used to waive enrollment in the UW-SHIP insurance plan. As an insurance waiver, I will also accept a current Confirmation of Coverage from United Healthcare.

To access this document, please visit the United Health Care Student Resource Link: https://www.uhcsr.com then:

  1. Log into your account
  2. Click ‘COVERAGE INFORMATION’
  3. You should find your current medical coverage under the CONIFRMATION OF COVERAGE
  4. Please send me the pdf of the CONFIRMATION OF COVERAGE.

As a reminder, the Confirmation of Coverage looks like this:

COURSE ENROLLMENT

With the fall semester beginning only five weeks from now, all continuing students should be enrolled in a full course of classes for the Fall 2020 semester. I can, however, see that many SACM-sponsored students have not yet registered for a complete course enrollment. As a reminder, this means a minimum 12 credits for undegraduate students and a minimum 9 credits for graduate students.

As you know, there has been somewhat confusing guidance from SEVP this summer but we did receive confirmation on July 14 that we could continue operations not unlike how Spring 2020 was conducted. As students who are currently in the United States, you should enroll in as many face-to-face courses as possible. At Stout, a face-to-face course is likely to be called a 'hybrid' course at this point in time. Regardless, please schedule yourself for as many classes with an in-person requirment as possible. This approach provides up with ultimate flexibility.

I have not yet receive guidance from SACM regarding online or hybrid enrollment but that does not matter. We should not be wait on SACM to enroll in classes as, the longer your wait, the fewer classes are available for you to join. Once we have information from SACM, we can adjust as needed.

Please let me know if you have any questions about the information in this email. I look forward to hearing from you.

I hope you have a relaxing weekend,
Danielle
