Come join the HGT Band from 8pm-9pm(HOME GROWN TOMATOES), which is a professional variety band with a musical repertoire guaranteed to please all ages, from eight to eighty! HGT's diverse repertoire includes top 40 favorites, Classic Rock and Country as well as pop tunes from the 50's and 60's & 70's. As a Variety Band they also play Waltzes, Polkas, and all sorts of Jazz tunes.
Our second band is The Orchid club that is entering the scene with a fully formed and -realized vision, dabbling in a lovingly oldschool and timeless set of flashbacks to the more left-field staples of '80s-'90s US postcore and -punk.

The Philosophers' Café is a public forum in which community members discuss interesting contemporary issues in a relaxed and informal setting.
Our next meeting is April 7, 7pm, at Brewery Nonic. The topic is "Free: Priceless vs. Worthless?" and will be moderated by Dr. Chris Ferguson (Economics, UW-Stout). Here is the abstract:
"Economists don’t spend as much time thinking about when the price of something is $0 as we probably should. The philosophical implications of our conceptions and measurement of value in these cases can profoundly impact health, sustainability, policy making, war and peace, personal decision making, relationships, happiness and other key local, national, and global areas of life. The Math TLC is NOW HIRING Teaching Assistants for 2025-2026, supporting students in MATH 80, 90 and 120. Minimum qualifications include:
Successful completion of MATH 90 with an A/A- and instructor recommendation OR
Completion of MATH 118 or higher with at least B+ OR
MPT 4 or higher and concurrent enrollment in calculus

Our Caucus starts at 6:30pm with our full Senate Meeting starting at 7:00pm.
The University Student Senate is the legislative body of the Stout Student Association and meets weekly to discuss university policy and shared governance, allocate fees, promote new initiatives in support of the students, and hear from campus leaders.
