MSC, Great Hall

Society has lied to us. The world has told us that we’ll be enough when we graduate magna cum laude, land that high-paying job, or reach the top of the socio-economic classes. These are all great endeavors, but they can mislead us if we’re not careful. Throughout this program, you’ll hear how fighting chronic depression and selling drugs across campus as a D1 athlete on a historic football team led Darryll Stinson to multiple suicide attempts, all because he never felt like he was enough. You’ll hear how he overcame mental health stigmas to become a successful entrepreneur and family man.

For accommodations, contact Disability Services by March 2nd.

Spring Break Safety Tips

Got a wild spring break planned? Here are some tips to keep you safe!

1. Keep your ID on you - especially if you’re traveling internationally, always keep it on your body. Keep a paper copy as well just in case.

2. Don’t travel alone - stay in a group and use the buddy system!

3. Choose a code word - have a word that you can say to your friends to signify that you don’t feel safe or comfortable in a situation.

4. Drink safely - drink in moderation (1 drink per hour and no more than 2-4 per night) Eat a meal beforehand and stay hydrated!
