Presentation on Polytechnic Pathways for Underrepresented Students
Thursday, March, 30 | 2pm - 3pm Location: Gilbert Creek
Bryan Barts of Career Services and Dr. Quin Brooks of the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Office will be presenting on establishing a Polytechnic Pathway for Underrepresented Students at Stout. This is an effort to align the university’s EDI efforts with its Polytechnic identity. Students from marginalized backgrounds, and specifically BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color) and women and gender minorities, are disproportionately underrepresented in many areas with STEM being a major area of underrepresentation. We want to imagine this potential polytechnic pathway as a direct connection from our underrepresented students to our industry partners. Be part of the conversation on March 30, 2023 from 2-3 p.m. in the Gilbert Creek Room in Price Commons.
