Hello all ASPIRE students. We hope you are having an amazing first quarter so far. We would just like to update everyone on upcoming events and news from the office.

Our newest team member!
Office Manager Mandy Stasiek!

Hello! My name is Mandy Stasiek (she, her, hers). I live in the rural area between Spring Valley and Menomonie. My husband and I have been married for 16 years. We have two sons, Coy and Cade. Coy is 14 and Cade is 11. We are very active with year-round sports schedules of football, basketball, track, golf, and baseball while trying to keep an ample amount of food in the home for these growing boys. Personally, I enjoy reading, riding bike, traveling, and cooking. For the last two years, I worked as an Academic Department Associate in the Operations and Management department at UW-Stout. Prior to that, I worked as an advisor at Rasmussen College in Woodbury, MN. I have over 13 years of experience of working in education. I am also enrolled in an online Master’s program at UW-LaCrosse for Student Affairs Administration. If all goes well, I will graduate in May.

I earned my undergraduate degree 16 years at UW-Eau Claire. I am a first-generation student who was raised by a single mom after my dad died when I was 11. I hope to continue to improve on how I can use my career and personal experience to help all students with each of their specific needs. I am so excited to get back into a position to be working closer with student affairs and students. Thank you so kindly for your generous welcome. I look forward to getting to know more about you all! -Mandy

First Generation Celebration

Did you know about half of UW-Stout students are first-generation? Being a first-generation student is something to be proud of! ASPIRE Student Support Services wants to invite you to join us for a fun event celebrating first-generation students with activities and reflection. There's also the chance to win some prizes!
First-generation means neither one of your parents/legal guardians, however, defined by you, had completed a four-year degree at the time of your initial college enrollment.
You're a first-generation college student, but your identity is much more complex and while we share similarities, it’s our individual stories that make us unique! Come celebrate what it means to be a first-generation college student to you!
