We’re halfway through the Spring 2024 Career Conference!

Hopefully you’ve had a chance to network with professionals and make connections. If you haven’t yet, don’t miss this opportunity while employers are on campus. We still have two days left! 🥳

As we wrap up this semester’s career conference, here at three ways to help you make the most of the experience.

1. Write thank you notes to employers – YES, employers will love it! Writing an email or note to employers you spoke with can go to long way to show you value their time and conversation. It could be the push you need to make you stand out above other candidates or keep you in their minds for future reference.

2. Connect on LinkedIn – You might think LinkedIn is on its way out. Not the case! Many employers use this platform to expand their business and network for a variety of purposes. Take a few minutes to spruce up your profile (using that nice new professional headshot from Blue Devil Prep for Success last week 😉) and search the individuals you chatted with. Do it now while you’re fresh on their mind. You never know when these connections could prove useful in the future.

3. Reflect – What went well? How can I improve for next time? Networking events can be overwhelming and sometimes feel like a blur when they’re over. Spend some time thinking about the conversations you had (or the ones you wish you did) and make a few notes to get even more out of Career Conference in the fall.

Deep breaths. You got this! And we career coaches are here for you. As always, you can schedule 30 or 60 minute appointments, in person or virtual, with us on Handshake.

All entries are eligible to win an affirmation plant pot kit to plant and grow, just like you!  Answer survey here!
