The Blanket Exercise is a three-hour participatory exercise that helps participants understand how colonization of the land we now know as the United States of America has impacted the people who lived here long before Columbus and other settlers arrived.
The exercise will include a focus on Northwestern Wisconsin and Menomonie territory stewarded by, among others, the people of the Ho-Chunk Nation.
Career Services is hosting virtual student-employer mock interviews for students within the technologies to gain feedback on their interviewing skills. Majors: Applied Math & Computer Science, CNIE, ICT, DMT
Each session will be 45 minutes long, consisting of 30-minute interview followed by 10 minutes for feedback and 5 minutes for transition.

Student Centers Building Manager
Building Managers represent the Student Centers (Memorial Student Center and Price Commons) and are responsible for the general supervision of the facilities, including the security of the buildings, the safety of guests, assisting reservations and events, decision-making during irregular situations or requests, and handling emergencies, all according to University and Student Centers policies. Building Managers provide valuable service to students, staff, faculty, and guests. Building Managers work to meet guest needs consistently and professionally.

Strive for Five, a sustainable commute campaign, is open
Walk, bike or commute to campus using a nongreenhouse gas method at least five times a month to be eligible for a Strive for Five drawing for $10 in Chamber bucks. Every additional five carbon-free commute days reported will earn participants an additional entry. The drawing will close for October on Sunday, Nov. 10. Late entries will not be counted. Participants must live off campus to be eligible. Winners will be notified via email.

The Zen Zone is located on the fourth floor of Bowman Hall (in the Student Counseling Center) and is open to all students and even staff. You do not need to be a client to use it. Just check in with the front desk at the counseling center to let them know you are there.
