Week 6: Just one week between us and Spring Break!
We hope that those of you who attended the Career Conference have found it to be an ecouraging and bolstering experience. I know that I have heard from several students who have already received interview offers AND some who already had interviews during the conference! Congratulations to you all! We look forward to hearing about your successes in the coming weeks.
Now here's some news that we can all get excited about: this weekend's forecast! Have you seen it!? If it is correct, we're looking at highs of 10°C (50°F) on Saturday and 15°C (60°F) AND sunny on Sunday.
Something else that might also be of interest to you is the opportunity to throw bowls for Empty Bowls next week. If you would like to learn about making the clay bowls and try it for yourself, there is an opportunity to sign up below!

GET THE RIGHT NUTRIENTS IN YOUR BODY
You may love pizza but your body may not be the biggest fan of it. Listen to your body and remember to get eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and drink plenty of water. The various dining services on campus offer a variety of options so you should have little problem finding suitable options. If you aren't sure what's right for you, or you need advice on food offerings, Stout also employs a registered dietician that you can speak to about a plan that will suit you.
DRESS FOR THE WEATHER
If winter is truly almost over, then you guys have gotten off light this year! The forecast is looking pretty good for the next few weeks but while it is feeling warmer it still isn't actually warm. Not dressing for the weather this time of year can easily leave you feeling under the weather with cold or flu symptoms.

EVENT
Pottery Making for Empty Bowls
Tuesday, March 10 at 3:30pm
to Wednesday, March 11 at 4:45pm
This two-part volunteering project is an opportunity to help make the bowls that will be glazed but also learn or try a new skill! The bowl making process is made up of two parts 1) making the bowls on the pottery wheel and, 2) trimming the bowls to be usable. Students who attend on day one should plan to come back for day two when possible. Please note that we will only be making the bowls on the pottery wheels on the first day.
Empty Bowls is a major fundraising event held on March 28, 2020. For the event to be a success,
(and to serve soups on the day!) event organizers need help making bowls that will be distributed to attendees.
