UW-Stout COVID Update

Q. Will commencement be virtual?
A. Graduating seniors have received an e-mail indicating that small, in-person ceremonies will be held on May 8, 2021.  An RSVP is required, as well as a negative antigen test. Additional safety protocols will also be in place. Unfortunately, due to capacity limitations, guests will not be permitted at graduation.  A virtual ceremony will also be made available to graduates who prefer that option.

Q. How can I celebrate St. Patrick’s Day safely?
A. First and foremost, resist the temptation to celebrate the holiday at gatherings outside of your immediate household or family. Masks and social distancing are a must. Large crowds, even with safety protocols in place, can easily turn into a super spreader event, so avoid them. There are several activities planned on campus for that evening.  Choose one of them as a safe way to spend the evening.  Blue Devils have done an excellent job following health and safety protocols this semester.  Keep it up, make responsible choices, and let’s make the second half of the semester as successful as the first half!
