Randomly selected Stout students received an initial email on February 28th to participate in the National College Health Assessment, which will be open through March 14th. This survey looks at student health behaviors, attitudes, and experiences and will assist UW-Stout with providing better services to students, as the data will help with prioritizing and creating wellness programs. Please look to see if you were randomly chosen for the survey in your UW-Stout email with “UW-Stout Student Health Survey” in the subject line. If you complete the survey you will be entered into a random drawing for multiple $25 Wal-Mart pre-paid cards.

Q. Will commencement be virtual? A. Graduating seniors have received an e-mail indicating that small, in-person ceremonies will be held on May 8, 2021. An RSVP is required, as well as a negative antigen test. Additional safety protocols will also be in place. Unfortunately, due to capacity limitations, guests will not be permitted at graduation. A virtual ceremony will also be made available to graduates who prefer that option.
Q. How can I celebrate St. Patrick’s Day safely? A. First and foremost, resist the temptation to celebrate the holiday at gatherings outside of your immediate household or family. Masks and social distancing are a must. Large crowds, even with safety protocols in place, can easily turn into a super spreader event, so avoid them. There are several activities planned on campus for that evening. Choose one of them as a safe way to spend the evening. Blue Devils have done an excellent job following health and safety protocols this semester. Keep it up, make responsible choices, and let’s make the second half of the semester as successful as the first half!
