If Bluey has taught us anything, it's that we will always be learning and growing. To continue in your journey of growth, stop by the Involvement Center on October 7th to learn some life skills! Learn how to perform basic auto repair with our Student Engagement Coordinators, how to write checks and handle finances with the Financial Literacy and Wellness Center, and how to hang shelves and repairs holes so you get your security deposit back!
Additionally, you can take a picture with our life-size Bluey and Chilli Heeler cardboard cutouts (with 2 lucky people taking them home)!
UW-Stout is participating in the 2024 Government & Nonprofit Career Fair at the University of Minnesota – Friday, October 25th. Employers in attendance are looking to hire interns and professional positions. This career fair is only open to students and alumni from participating colleges and universities. To attend the fair, you must register with UW-Stout Career Services.

Come and join our Headliner Sleeping Jesus from 9pm to 10pm who just released their new Rock and Roll, Americana, Indie record, Hollywood Smile, in December of 2023, and it just recently peaked at #22 on NACC Top 200.
Our opener for the night will be Spencer Douglas performing from 8pm-9pm. Eau Claire native Spencer Douglas takes inspiration from folk and indie pop, making his sets a mix of upbeat and feel-good tunes and reflective stories.

Call for student researchers to register for all-new Sidewalk Symposium by October 7
Sidewalk Symposium is a new chalk-art event, to be held Friday, October 25, that will challenge student researchers to share their findings in an innovative way. Student researchers (can be individuals or research groups) will receive training from a Comics professor and collaborate with a Comics class on their designs. Strive for Five, a sustainable commute campaign, is open
Walk, bike or commute to campus using a nongreenhouse gas method at least five times a month to be eligible for a Strive for Five drawing for $10 in Chamber bucks. Every additional five carbon-free commute days reported will earn participants an additional entry. The drawing will close for September on Thursday, Oct. 10. Late entries will not be counted. Participants must live off campus to be eligible. Winners will be notified via email.

The University Student Senate is the legislative body of the Stout Student Association and meets weekly to discuss university policy and shared governance, allocate fees, promote new initiatives in support of the students, and hear from campus leaders.
