Surveying the Diaspora: The Moors is a workshop that will delve into the contributions and history of the people known as The Moors. The Moors are North African people who influenced and helped usher in the modern western world. This workshop is to highlight this group and their contributions while having a discussion around the significance to the modern world.
Come on out for a night of geeky revelry to cap off our amazing week's worth of gaming-related events. There will be as many different types of games and consoles are there are tastes of the gamers who enjoy them, alongside prizes and a friendly, inclusive atmosphere. This event is free and open to all who decide to attend (we'll even have boardgames for those who prefer a more "unplugged" adventure).

The Executive Board Committee is comprised of the leadership of the Stout Student Association as well as its various standing committees. Each week, the executive board meets to discuss upcoming senate business as well as new developments across the organization. In addition, the executive board serves as an opportunity for executives to receive tips and promote collaboration.

Reminder of Student Research Grant and Journal Deadlines
Don’t miss these opportunities. Students who completed research may submit an article to the Journal of Student Research by Oct. 22 and/or apply to compete at the 2022 National Conference for Undergraduate Research by Oct. 20. Students interested in starting research between Nov. 2 and Feb. 15 with a faculty research advisor may submit a grant proposal until Nov. 1.

In Person Commencement Ceremonies
Commencement ceremonies for students graduating in the Fall and Winterm will be held on Saturday, December 18th. Ceremonies will be in-person and each student will be allowed 4 tickets. Guest seating will be in pods of 4, socially distanced at 3 feet apart. Extra tickets will not be available. The event will be livestreamed and individuals may view the ceremony from either the Commencement website or on campus in the Memorial Student Center. More details will be forthcoming. The deadline to apply and be included in the Commencement program is Friday, October 22nd.
Disability Services is looking for a peer note-taker! A peer note taker is needed for a student enrolled in CHEM 135 that meets Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday each week from 9:05am-10:00am. The pay is $10.00 per hour. This is what we are looking for: *You must have good note-taking skills, legible handwriting, and be dependable. A GPA of 3.0 and above is preferred. *You will be required to get the notes to the student on the same day as the class meets. *If you miss class, it is your responsibility to find a replacement note-taker for that class session.
