Strive for Five, a Blue Devil Sustainable Commute Campaign

Walk, bike, or commute to campus using a non-greenhouse method at least five times a month to be eligible for a drawing for $10 in Chamber bucks! Every additional five carbon-free commute days will earn you an additional entry. Use the link here to enter. Must live off-campus to be eligible. Winners will be notified via email.

  • Walking

    UW-Stout and Menomonie are extremely walkable places. Walking to class and around town will be your most inexpensive form of transportation and it'll help you burn some calories.

  • Biking

    Bring a bike from home and bike to class or around town. It's good for your wallet and, at about 50 calories per mile, it's also great for your health!

    Rent a Bike Through StoutBikes (Bike Share Program)!

    StoutBikes is a program for students interested in renting a bike for a year or semester to get around campus and town. The program is inexpensive, and biking will save you lots of money in transportation costs! Stop by Stout Adventures (in 56 Sports & Fitness Center) to reserve your bike today!

  • Rideshare

    Share A Ride with UW-Stout Rideshare

    UW-Stout Rideshare is an online program for connecting with other students to share rides. Stout students share rides around town or home for the weekend.

  • Bus

    Hop On the StoutRoute…or any of our other buses

    • Stout Route Campus Bus: A quick and easy way to get around campus. And it's free with your student ID.
    • Community Bus: Stops at many locations around Menomonie. Free with your student ID.
    • Regional Buses: Badger Buses provide service to Minneapolis and Milwaukee with stops in many other locations. Pick-up is at the Menomonie Walmart.
