On Oct. 11, from 10-2p.m., our local Optimist Club is transporting 50+ High School Juniors. , to Hoffman Hills Park for a workday of planting 25 trees, and tending to 800 tree shelters which we have planted in the eight previous years. We have 5-6 adult volunteers who will supervise small groups (3-5 students) as we complete our task. We could use 8-12 more adults (Stout Student Volunteers) to help. Looking for people comfortable supervising 3-5 High School in these tasks. We will provide equipment but volunteers must be dressed for weather, have work gloves, work shoes to walk through tall grasses potentially wet depending upon the weather.
Interested volunteers will need to transport themselves. We will provide a light lunch and water. Meet at Hoffman Hills overflow parking lot.
Contact Dennis Spader, 715-235-7003h, 715-309-5397c/text, or by email, dennis@dennisspader.com, no later than next Sunday to volunteer,
