Members Benefits

Besides getting to know students, staff, and faculty interested in global affairs, participation in Model UN serves to foster competency in negotiation, speaking and communication skills.  Delegates deal with crisis scenarios which can be contemporary or historical, while developing leadership skills and the ability to adapt and deal with unexpected situations.

Events & Activities

SMUN provides an opportunity for students, staff, and faculty at UW-Stout to discuss the most pressing of world affairs while learning about and practicing the protocols and procedures of the United Nations.

Resources

You can find lots of examples of Model United Nations teams in action from all over the world from pre-teens to graduate students. Check out the Best Delegate to get a great overview. https://bestdelegate.com/
