They are dedicated to teaching and leading culturally and linguistically diverse students across learning environments. Dr. Gordon currently serves as the Dean of Culture and Instruction at Summit Shasta in Daly City, CA, where their work is situated at the intersection of innovation, identity, and student leadership. In the last 15 years, they have worked to develop scholars in public, charter, and independent school communities throughout the US and Haiti. Xavier holds an Ed.D in Educational Leadership from Liberty University, an MAE in ESL from Augsburg University, as well as a B.A. in American Studies from Macalester College.
As a product of community education initiatives, they have dedicated their life to serving
under-resourced communities within the U.S.-and abroad- while advocating for the
educational equity and access for youth in those communities. As a person, Xavier enjoys
volleyball, rugby, cooking, traveling, 90s pop culture, and the arts.
