T. Tara Turk-Haynes is a first-generation college graduate and corporate leader dedicated to building equity-driven workplaces where people and business thrive together. As the Founder of Equity Activations, she helps companies move beyond surface-level DEIB efforts, embedding measurable equity strategies into Talent Acquisition, Leadership Development, and Organizational Culture to drive engagement, retention, and innovation.

Previously, as VP of Talent and DEIB at Leaf Group, she led initiatives that expanded hiring pipelines, improved leadership accessibility, and integrated diverse perspectives into business strategy. She also chaired Graham Holdings Company’s DEI Council, shaping enterprise-wide equity strategies.

A recognized thought leader, T. Tara has contributed to Lars Schmidt’s Redefining HR and
spoken at Culture Amp’s Culture First, RecFest, and other industry-leading events. She is also a member of the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council, shaping insights on workplace culture and equity. Her mission?
