October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and the color purple is used to symbolize peace, courage, survival, honor, and dedication to ending violence while the color orange represents a future free from violence against women and girls.

Join the Involvement Center and the Bridge to Hope in an event dedicated to raising awareness during Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Show your support and solidarity by having a professional stylist (Britt Sikora from Alchemy Salon Studio) install a strand of purple or orange hair tinsel. Each strand is intended to represent strength and a unified front in combatting domestic violence and gendered violence.

Stop by to transform your look, gain information and resources, and to help spread a message of hope and change across our campus and communities. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate!
