Event Helper Training will be performed on race day before special events begin. This training informs those on the track during the race of safe practices and risks. After training is complete attendees will receive a safety vest and give their first & last name to the Event Coordinator.

Track work will be performed at the beginning, middle and end of the race. When track work is being done NO ONE is allowed on the track due to equipment dangers. Track entrances and exits will be blocked off while track work is being done. There will be an announcement once it is safe to re-enter the track along with entrances/exits being re-opened.

Pits may contain power tools, sparks, sharp objects, etc. Due to this danger people must wear closed-toed shoes, eye protection, pants, & a shirt when in the pits.

Note:

Attendees who disobey safety procedures will be asked to leave the event.

Event coordinator (Pink Vest) is the main point of contact for the race. If a question master is unable to answer a question on race day you should ask the event coordinator.

Question Masters (Blue Vest) are UW Stout Baja members who can answer event questions such as parking, race schedule, special event details.

Track Workers (Yellow Vest) are towing broken cars, helping with pile ups, and fixing the track. Track workers are either team members or volunteers trained in their roles and responsibilities. Please be mindful of this when they are towing vehicles, we truly appreciate their help and want them to return for future races. Teams that bring their own tow vehicles must have a team member who has completed Event Helper Training operating the towing vehicle.

Camera Operators (Yellow Vest) are trained in their roles and responsibilities. They are not allowed on tow lanes and certain areas of the track. More information will be provided on race day during the training.

Attendees are expected to follow all safety procedures listed above. If you are unsure about safety procedures, ask an Event Helper before proceeding. Safety procedures are designed to keep attendees safe during the race so that we can have a successful and fun race.

Attendees who disobey safety procedures will be asked to leave the event.

Blue Devil Racing appreciates your willingness to follow our Safety procedures.

If you have any questions, concerns or comments feel free to contact Blue Devil Racing, speak to the event coordinator or question masters. Refer to Event Helpers for more information about contacts on race day.
