Mission
The American Foundry Society is an student organization that helps its club members with foundry knowledge and industry connections. Another important part of the club is the annual foundry tour and also two $1,000 scholarships awarded to it's members. Anybody from school can go on the tours. In our meeings we discuss club topics and then mold and pour aluminum castings.

The American Foundry Society is the leading U.S. based metalcasting society that assists member companies (metalcasting facilities, diecasters and industry suppliers) and individuals to effectively manage all production operations, profitably market their products and services and to equitably manage their employees. The American Foundry Society also promotes the interests of the metalcasting industry before the legislative and executive branches of the federal government. With the direction of its volunteer committee structure, the professional staff of the American Foundry Society provides support in the areas of technology, management and education to further activities that will enhance the economic progress of the metalcasting industry.

Membership Benefits
AFS student organization members will have access to all org events and related workshops. Students that pay dues to the professional American Foundry Society become eligible to apply for two $1,000 scholarships through the UW-Stout Foundation. We invite students to participate in our foundry tours, casting workshops, and guest speaker events.

Mission
Our mission in this organization is to promote understanding and passion towards robotics in fields of both electrical and mechanical engineering among others. This will be accomplished through hands-on projects designing and building robots for various purposes, from competing in competitions to assisting in research. This organization will also engage in STEM outreach to the college, primary and secondary schools, and organizations in the Menomonie area. With the goal to encourage careers in the engineering/STEM fields and strengthen understanding of STEM objectives.

Members enjoy a wonderful community of people with varying backgrounds that are all interested in robotics. Members have the opportunity to learn intriguing and industry-level automation whether it be in software or hardware as well as inspiring others to pursue a path in STEM fields through outreach. Engineers Without Borders—UW-Stout Chapter's goal is to bring together students from diverse backgrounds and majors to share their knowledge and experiences with communities. The organization will work with communities to assess, design, implement, monitor, and evaluate appropriate engineering solutions for small-scale infrastructure projects.

Members can become part of the national Engineers Without Borders Organization by attending meetings and participating. No Fees.

Mission
The UW-Stout Food Science Club is a group of food enthusiasts that are curious about the science behind our food, the group is NOT limited to food science majors and welcomes anyone who is interested. They stay involved in the local community through volunteer events and food industry tours. During past events, they've toured a maple syrup farm, different breweries and creamery tours. They also attend social networking events and presentations hosted by IFT- Minnesota. Meetings are held every two weeks, on Wednesdays. Meeting times may change due to COVID-19. The meetings involve out of classroom experiments and learning, subjects include: sensory testing, fermentation, pickling, candy, cheese making, baking and experimenting with wild yeast. One goal of the group is to expand their knowledge and involvement while networking within the food science field.

Members in our UW-Stout SAE Baja chapter design and construct a vehicle within the SAE International specifications, using the manufacturing and designing skills acquired in class with emphasis on teamwork in a constructive engineering environment. The team goal is to have our older team members guide and mentor the newer members, so that old mistakes remain in the past, while not overlooking new or unusual ideas these young minds might have. We seek to create an open and comfortable environment that will help our club grow stronger as a team. The end goal is to have our new car finish all of the events at the international race. The goal for the new car is to finish in the top 20 overall. This will establish UW-Stout as one of the elite teams in the region and put us on the national map for engineering.
