This Organization shall be A place for those, artists or not, to express their creative ideas through comics and illustrations, learn more about comics, and as a way to promote the comic major here at stout. We aim to promote comic students by participating in convention events, where members are able to create and sell their work.

Allow opportunities for graduating comic majors to outreach and find after school opportunities and possible networking connections as well as providing workshops, critiques for personal work, and portfolio reviewing.

The Fine Arts Association is a collective of studio art disciplines (painting, drawing, printmaking, art metals, sculpture, photography, comics, and ceramics) that work collaboratively. Our organization provides alternative learning opportunities and support for art and design students interested in fine art.

Membership Benefits
Fine Arts Association allows students to put their foot through the door and into an artistic community. Members of our organization are given the opportunity to travel outside of the university to conferences, gallery exhibitions and workshops. While we push our members to expand their connections in art world beyond campus, we also bring artists to the university to give artist talks and host workshops within our facilities. During the year, we practice professional involvement and event planning such as exhibitions, critique nights, film nights, studio visits, and visiting shows off campus.

The Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) is the world's oldest, largest, member-driven society for product design, industrial design, interaction design, human factors, ergonomics, design research, design management, universal design and related design fields. IDSA organizes the renowned International Design Excellence Award (IDEA) competition annually; hosts the International Design Conference and five regional conferences each year; and publishes Innovation, a quarterly on design, and designBytes, a weekly e-newsletter highlighting the latest headlines in the design world. IDSA's charitable arm, the Design Foundation, supports the dissemination of undergraduate scholarships annually to further industrial design education.

The Society has an international presence with 27 local chapters in 27 different locations, all providing opportunities to meet other designers, learn and get inspired. There are 15 special interest groups representing diverse topics from Design for the Majority to Materials and Processes, Ecodesign to Young Professionals. IDSA has roots that reach all the way back to 1938, before the age of plastics and at least 30 years before the age of electronics!

Members of IDSA will have access to events such as: company tours, design workshops, conferences, and many more. Members of IDSA will also have access to a community in which they can seek help and guidance for projects, jobs, and other creative endeavors.

The International Game Developers Association is the largest non-profit membership organization serving individuals that create video games. This is the UW-Stout chapter of that organization.

Create a welcoming and fun environment for any interested Stout students to learn about printmaking, primarily relief (linocut and woodcut) printmaking.

Membership Benefits
Students from all majors and backgrounds may enjoy learning more about a unique art form, learning about the process of printmaking from start to finish, and can sell the art they create. Active membership in the club will provide students with a creative outlet, experience in studio art, and potential revenue from the sale of their own work.

STEAM promotes the interdisciplinary study of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. Meetings will prioritize discourse between STEM and art students, conducting events that interest both student groups. This club’s driving dedication is to inspire students through the integration of science and technology with art and design, and is for students who wish to expand their knowledge of their major beyond what they learn in the classroom by engaging with different ways of thinking.

Stout Typographical Society aids in the promotion of cooperation between students, educators, and the printing, publishing, and packaging industries. We encourage a well-rounded background of study in the humanities, sciences, and graphic communications. We also encourage work under professional guidance of the staff and faculty of the Graphic Communications program and we offer an opportunity for leadership training.

Membership Benefits
Members who join STS learn about how to work in an industry standard environment. As a bonus for being a part of STS every second semester we take a 3 day business trip that allows members to tour 10-12 different companies and market themselves to employers. Many of our members have walked away from this experience with internships.

Previously known as SIGGRAPH, Tea Time focuses on the wickedness of animation, but we also explore the realms of digital cinema. Here at Tea Time, we build the bridge between student and professional. With activities to build your skill and knowledge, you'll also build meaningful friendships! Throughout semesters we'll be visiting studios in the Twin Cities, going to networking events held by Nice Moves, and host talks by people in the industry.
