The Fine Arts Association is a collective of studio art disciplines (painting, drawing, printmaking, art metals, sculpture and ceramics) that work collaboratively. Our organization provides alternative learning opportunities and support for art and design students interested fine art.

The Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) is the world's oldest, largest, member-driven society for product design, industrial design, interaction design, human factors, ergonomics, design research, design management, universal design and related design fields. IDSA organizes the renowned International Design Excellence Award (IDEA) competition annually; hosts the International Design Conference and five regional conferences each year; and publishes Innovation, a quarterly on design, and designBytes, a weekly e-newsletter highlighting the latest headlines in the design world. IDSA's charitable arm, the Design Foundation, supports the dissemination of undergraduate scholarships annually to further industrial design education.The Society has an international presence with 27 local chapters in 27 different locations, all providing opportunities to meet other designers, learn and get inspired. There are 15 special interest groups representing diverse topics from Design for the Majority to Materials and Processes, Ecodesign to Young Professionals. IDSA has roots that reach all the way back to 1938, before the age of plastics and at least 30 years before the age of electronics!

The International Game Developers Association is the largest non-profit membership organization serving individuals that create video games. This is the UW-Stout chapter of that organization. Membership BenefitsMembers will recieve game development tips and practice through talks, workshops, and game jams. We provide transportation to industry events and supply members with materials/ tools they can use to develop games at our meetings.
SIGGRAPH is meant to help students achieve academic and professional success in the Entertainment Design major. We also welcome anyone who is interested in learning about professional life as an animator, filmmaker, or comic artist. We meet every Wednesday from 6:00-7:00 pm in Micheels Hall 288.

Our members get the chance to participate in studio visits and industry events in the Twin Cities, as well as attending talks and workshops with industry professionals.
Stout Typographical Society aids in the promotion of cooperation between students, educators, and the printing, publishing, and packaging industries. We encourage a well-rounded background of study in the humanities, sciences, and graphic communications. We also encourage work under professional guidance of the staff and faculty of the Graphic Communications program and we offer an opportunity for leadership training.
Membership BenefitsMembers who join STS learn about how to work in an industry standard environment. As a bonus for being a part of STS every second semester we take a 3 day business trip that allows members to tour 10-12 different companies and market themselves to employers. Many of our members have walked away from this experience with internships.
Student Interior Design Organization strives to create a collaborative group of driven, passionate, and creative individuals working towards becoming interior design professionals.
