Last meeting was a blast, I hope to see you all again in a few days!
The next meeting is this Saturday starting at 12 in Room 144 in the MSC per usual. This time we're going to be running tournaments. They're free to enter, so there isn't really any downside to entering. Please bring a controller if you have one, and also a setup (console and tv, we have a few extra flatscreens that the school provides too). The schedule for tourneys this weekend is:
12pm: Doors Open
1: Wii U, Tekken 7
3: Melee, Rivals, Pokken
5: Project M, DBFZ
Also friendlies for all games should be available during bracket, assuming we have enough setups open, so come on down even if the specific tourney you're there for isn't happening yet.
Now this schedule is a new thing that we are doing this year. We normally didn't run each game every week, and in order to compensate for that, you can't enter more than one game that shares the same start time. Ex: If you enter Melee, you cant enter Rivals or Pokken this week.
Now what happens if the two games you play are Wii U and Tekken? Don't freak out, for each meeting the schedule will switch around to compensate for cases like this. If Wii U and Tekken had the same start time one week, then the next week the schedule will be changed so that they do not share the same time block, and you can then enter in both.
This is kind've confusing in text form but makes sense in execution, so if you have any questions about the format, I can explain how it works, and why its 10x better than what we have done in the past.
TLDR: Show up and enter tournaments, the format will make sense as time goes on.
Hope to seeHOWDY BDS MEMBERS!
