This is an organization for anyone in the Computer Science and Applied Math & Computer Science programs, anyone interested in those subjects, or anyone who supports women in STEM related fields. The mission of the AMCS Women's Group is to encourage and support women in math and computer science related fields, as well as women with an interest in these fields. There are not many women in these programs or these fields in general, so this organization helps support those women who are!
Our members can network with women in STEM related majors and other women interested in similar topics. They can also make professional connections and share ideas and information related to careers and internships.
We offer a variety of different events and activities that keep our members engaged. Some examples of past events and activities include: Stout Connects You, Bowling, Game Nights, Study Nights, etc.
Our members have a wide range of opportunities and resources that allow them to network on and off campus as well as gain extra knowledge through helpful website links and events.
Connections are something our club prides itself on. Whether it is through networking at events or meeting new friends at meetings, we always strive to meet new people!
