Spring Move-Out for Off-Campus Students 2021

Are you an off-campus student moving out of your apartment? And do you have things that you no longer want? You can donate, recycle, and/or dispose of many of these items at our Spring Move-Out event!

May 3-5 from 10:30am-4:30pm
Parking Lot 29, east of the Sports & Fitness Center

Items you can bring:

• Furniture (couches, beds, futons, desks)
• Appliances (mini fridges, microwaves, toasters)
• Electronics (TVs, computers)
• Houseware items (lamps, pots/pans, DVDs)
• Clothing
• Non-Perishable Food 

The Stout Student Association and the City of Menomonie are paying for the cost to dispose of and recycle your items. You must register for this program before arriving.

When bringing items to Parking Lot 29, you must:

• Wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth.
• Observe social distancing of 6 feet or more between yourself and any other people who aren't in your household.
• Bring a helper -- Because this is a socially distanced event, we will not be able to help students remove items from their vehicles and place them into reuse trucks or disposal dumpsters, so please bring someone to help you.
• Arrive with your own items -- If you have a family member, friend, or someone else helping you transport your items, you will need to accompany them. You can either arrive in the same vehicle or a different vehicle (for social distancing purposes). If you arrive in a different vehicle, you will need to pull in first with your student ID and have the vehicle with your items pull in behind you.
• Have your valid student ID -- You will be asked to show your student ID in a socially distant manner when you arrive.
• Enter Parking Lot 29 from its north entrance on 13th Avenue East -- From there, you will be directed where to go by those staffing the event.

Please note that the budget for this event is limited, so it is first-come, first-served. Students are allowed one trip per valid student ID. If the budget is expended, you will have to find an alternative way to recycle and dispose of your items.
