SUMMARY;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Queer Inclusive Sex & Disability | A. Andrews (VIRTUAL)
LOCATION:Online Event
URL:https://connect.uwstout.edu/rsvp?id=1984823
DESCRIPTION:DUE TO THE WEATHER FORECAST, THIS EVENT IS FULLY VIRTUAL! As part of Diversity Week 2023, please join the Qube as we welcome A. Andrews to UW-Stout for their talk, "Queer Inclusive Sex & Disability." All different kinds of bods want to connect with other bods, but lots of them get left out of the conversation when it comes to S-E-X. This talk covers the basics of disability sexuality, common myths about disabled bodies, communication tips, and practical suggestions for having the best sexual experience possible. Whether you yourself are disabled, you love someone who is, or you just want to know more, consider this your handy conversation starter to understanding disability sexuality, and your path to achieving accessible (and fulfilling) sex.\n\nWho is A. Andrews? A. Andrews is a thirty-something disabled queer writer and illustrator. They spent the majority of their young life sketching in hospitals, and experienced their first heartbreak at age 8 during game 6 of the '96 NBA championships. When they aren't writing and drawing their guts out, they're hanging with their dog, George, and drinking too many coffees. They will probably never tell you "what's wrong with [them]" and you shouldn't ask!\n\nMasking at this event is preferred, per the speaker's request.\n\nMeeting Link: https://nam04.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/ap/t-59584e83/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fteams.microsoft.com%2Fl%2Fmeetup-join%2F19%253ameeting_OTM2OWFmZTgtODE4NS00YjJkLWJiZWUtZWJhNzE5NWE0ZTI2%2540thread.v2%2F0%3Fcontext%3D%257b%2522Tid%2522%253a%2522b71a81a3-2f95-4381-9b89-c62343a66052%2522%252c%2522Oid%2522%253a%2522b01fda10-e7de-4f94-a927-4aee5f6c99c6%2522%257d&data=05%7C01%7Cbrownfr%40uwstout.edu%7Ccb57df73b33b496ee36608db142dce16%7Cb71a81a32f9543819b89c62343a66052%7C0%7C0%7C638125959179402934%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=FOjq1q0JhVc1%2B4zzGu7%2BSX6Xcq1GsnlzNS70yruZm4Q%3D&reserved=0\n---\nEvent Details: https://connect.uwstout.edu/rsvp?id=1984823
