| | Honors Movie Night: Chef (2014)
Come to the Honors Lounge (430 Library) on Friday, October 23 from 6-8pm for a casual movie experience sponsored by the Honors College Student Leadership Team.
Chef (2014)
The protagonist, Carl, is the head chef of a luxury restaurant. Carl has lost his passion for the job after cooking the same dishes every day. When a food critic leaves a scathing review of his “boring” food, Carl is outraged, quits his job, and decides to start a food truck with his estranged son, Percy. Experience how Carl reconnects with his family with the help of good food.
Popcorn will be provided to enhance the experience.

Honors Advising
Advisement day is fast approaching! Here are a few ways you can get advisement through Honors before you register for your Spring 2027 courses.
-
Complete your Honors Advisement Plan (HAP)
- You should have received an email from Xanthi last week with information about your HAP. More info can also be found on Canvas. Help Xanthi build HAPpy the dragon and get personalized feedback prior to registration. Please use the HAP assignment to get advisement from Xanthi rather than email.
-
Attend an Honors Advisement Meeting
- 3:30-4:15pm - First Year Students (open to upperclassmen as well) - We will provide information about registering for classes using Stellic, reminders of honors requirements, upcoming Honors Opportunities, and answer any questions you might have.
- 4:30-5:00pm - Graduating Seniors (FA26 & SP27) Others welcome to attend as well. - we will be providing information about Honors graduation (finishing up your requirements, applying for graduation, Bestow the Stole, etc) and how to leverage your Honors experience after graduation.
-
Grab a free breakfast in the Honors Lounge and ask your last-minute registration questions
- Our Honors Registration Breakfast will be on Monday, October 26 from 8:30-10:30am in the Honors Lounge, 430 Library. Stop by to grab a waffle, connect with friends, and get help as you register for your Spring courses.

Check Your Enrollment Date & Holds
Students with honors priority registration should have a registration date/time of Monday, October 26 at either 9 or 10am depending on credits earned. Please double check your Spring 2027 enrollment appointment on Access Stout to make sure your date is listed correctly.
Also check your holds and make sure those are removed prior to your enrollment date so your registration isn't held up.
(If you have an advisement hold, make sure to schedule your appointment with your advisor prior to October 26 if possible)
If you have questions about where to find your enrollment appointment, check out the step-by-step guide on the Registrar's website or email Amy.
