The Fostering Success (FS) office is located in Bowman Hall 307A.
FS is open Monday
through Thursday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
**NOTE:  If the FS office area is closed temporarily during this time, please go to 310 Bowman Hall for assistance

OUTSTANDING YOUNG LEADER AWARD

The FosterClub Outstanding Young Leader Scholarship Award is an annual recognition program that celebrates the brilliance & resilience of young people who have experienced foster care. This award uplifts young people who make a difference in their communities & counters negative beliefs about young people in and from foster care. This year, they are giving away over $16,000 in scholarships!

Who is eligible?
  • Age 17 through 26 as of May 1, 2022
  • Spent time in foster care in the United States - could include living with a foster family, relatives (kinship care), experiencing adoption, reunification or a group home/residential facility
  • Engaged in local, state or national community service and/or advocacy
  • Not a previous recipient of an Outstanding Young Leader award 

What do you receive?

  • $500 to support your educational, training, or career goals. Paid to your college or training program, or paid to you individually
  • Public recognition on FosterClub.org and during National Foster Care Month in May
  • Invitations to leadership and training opportunities

How do I apply?

Our application takes an estimated 30 minutes to complete. Winners will be announced in April each year, in advance of continued celebration during National Foster Care Month in May. Apply each year by March 15.
