Presented by Inclusive Excellence Action Plan, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Office, Stout Student Association This workshop is centered on the experience of women of color in regard to racial and gender oppression. The main idea of this workshop is to acknowledge and unpack the unique way in which women of color navigate life and specifically university life with an emphasis on gendered racial oppression. The primary goal for this workshop is to help the Stout community recognize the unique experience of women of color at Stout; and furthermore, equipping them with tools to help minimize and mitigate the effects of this inimitable experience! This workshop will be rooted in discussion and building upon the "wisdom of the room"! With that said, this topic may be difficult for some to discuss openly and may create some level of discomfort…as with any discussion or workshop the goal is not to cause harm but to enrich individual experiences and Stout's culture!
