Our speaker has been selected in conjunction with National Coming Out Day and Indigenous Peoples' Day.

Two-Spirit is a term that was created to describe Native American (USA) and First Nations (Canada) people who experience gender variance and/or sexual orientation variance. Despite centuries of genocide and forced assimilation, a community of people now commonly referred to as Two-Spirit has survived.

This keynote presentation will:
weave together historical and contemporary perspectives on sexuality, highlight diverse and indigenous expressions of gender and sexual orientation, and examine the role of community in Two-spirit survival narratives.

Dr. Roger Kuhn is a Poarch Creek Two-Spirit Indigequeer soma-cultural sex therapist and sexuality educator who currently resides in San Francisco, CA and Guerneville, CA.
