The first part of this event (from 10:00 am - 11:00 am) will consist of Aerospace industry guest speaker, Todd H. Treichel who is also a UW-Stout Alumni.

He is a senior manufacturing engineer at Sierra Space with over 25 years of experience in quality, reliability, manufacturing, and design engineering environments. Extensive experience in applying systemic engineering and quality approaches in product development, design control, and life test projects. Notable work includes writing and executing test plans for NASA & ISS payloads, the Cygnus & HTV-X pressurized cargo vehicles, NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). Recent work is in the area of rocket propulsion systems. He is a recipient of the NASA silver achievement medal and an associate fellow with the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), where he also served as chairman for the Wisconsin section. He is also an alumnus of the University of Wisconsin – Madison where he serves as an adjunct lecturer in the Industrial and Systems engineering department. His Ph.D. is in engineering and technology management from Northcentral University where he received two NASA grants specific to aerospace research. He is also a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and senior member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and a Six-Sigma Blackbelt.

Following this session with Todd, there will be a half-hour discussion with Faculty Advisor Abhishek Verma on behalf of the UW-Stout Aerospace Club talking about the AIAA (American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics) Design/Build/Fly competition. If you have any interest in AIAA and its event, this will be a great time to ask questions and gain more insight. We will also have a display of drones built by students during this event to showcase students' accomplishments in Aerospace at Stout.

The second part of this event will take place on the outdoor track on the side of the Johnson Fieldhouse from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. During this time there will be a flight demonstration of the DJI Matrice 300 commercial drone showcasing some of its state-of-the-art capabilities.
