Hi [FIRST_NAME],

Aerospace Club – Tentative Projects for 2025–2026 and NASA Intern Program

Hi Team,

I’d like to share an update on the proposed Aerospace Club projects for 2025–2026, based on students’ interests. Multiple students may work together on each project. The designated student lead is simply the main point of contact I will reach out to for updates.

1) HASP (High-Altitude Student Platform)

  • Link: High Altitude Student Platform – HASP 2025

  • Student Lead: Oliver Ferguson

  • Funding Sources:
    - Approximately $ 500 from the $ 3,000 annual WSGC allocation
    - ORSP Student Research Grant for $ 2,500 (deadline: Nov 1, 2025; Oliver will apply with my support) (Funding Opportunities).

2) Rocket Project

  • Interest: This seems to be the area of greatest interest for many of you.

  • Student Lead: Discuss among yoursleves and Johan (club president) will let me know who the main point of contact will be.

  • Funding Sources:
    - Approximately $500 the $ 3,000 annual WSGC allocation (if the project is WSGC-associated and presented at the WSGC Annual Meeting in Aug 2026)
    - ORSP Student Research Grant for $ 2,500 (deadline: Nov 1, 2025; application with my support) (Funding Opportunities).
    - WSGC scholarships (Undergraduate Scholarship | Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium | Carthage College) (check the link to check for opportunities)

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Additional Updates:

    1) I am currently coordinating with Sierra Space to confirm October 15 for the field trip.
    2) Check USAJOBS - Job Announcement. This position is in NASA's Pathways Intern Employment Program (IEP) which provides students with opportunities to explore NASA careers and gain meaningful developmental work experience.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions, ideas, or suggestions.

    Thanks,
    Abhishek Verma (Verma)
