There will be a work party this Saturday (1/31) from 11-2 or 3 at the Colfax Red Cedar Preserve and Recreation Area. If you can't make it out at the beginning, that's okay, come out whenever you can and there'll be something for you to do. We'll be tackling woody invasive removal near the entrance around the new kiosk and along the road on the south side of the property between the road and the ponds (buckthorn, honeysuckle, and siberian elm). We'll bring the usual suite of tools, just bring yourself, sturdy shoes, and enough water to keep yourself hydrated. Wear an old outer layer that won't be ruined if you catch an ember from the brush fires.
