Hey everyone,

We'll be having a work day this Saturday (12/5) from 1-4 at the Colfax Red Cedar Preserve and Recreation area (fka the "Ferry Pit") near Colfax. The plan is to remove woody invasives along the trail next to the old hydropower canal and clean up any branches, etc. that are too close to the ski/snowshoe trail around the property. I'll bring loppers, saws, and herbicide, wear sturdy shoes and clothes that won't be ruined if they catch an ember from the brush fires. Bring work gloves if you have them, I'll bring several pairs if you don't. also be sure to bring water to keep yourself hydrated.

Directions:

Using the address 910th Ave & County Rd W Colfax, WI 54730 will get you close to the property. Park across the street at Felland Park or inside the gate along the old asphalt road.
