The Undying Crusade(DND Club)

World Setting: For almost 50 years the Holy Empire and the Necrotic Legion have been stuck in a war of spite. Both Nations desire the fall of the other and will not end hostilities until the other nation submits. However, due to both the distance of the Empires, and the defenses of their borders, most of the fighting has spread to neutral nations. War threatens the lives of the millions who are caught in the conflict, and the people cry for an end to the conflict. You, the players are the heroes who will turn the tide of this war. For better or worse.
Game Type: This campaign is going to be run using 5.5e content and rules (With some usage of 5e rules). This is a weekly recurring campaign that will run for the length of the school year. This is an Intermediate level campaign with an equal mix of combat, story, and the occasional puzzle.
Creating a Character: Players will bring level 3 characters created using the 5.5e rules. Players are expected to use the standard point buy system or the pre-determined stats of 15, 14, 13, 12, 10, and 8, assigned to skills as Players see fit. Players can use any race from previous 5e books (however you will not use their skill modifiers as per 5.5e rules). Leveling up: We will be using a shared exp. system for level progression in this game, that rewards exp for killing enemies and advancing the plot.
Homebrew: I would like to hear ideas for magic items to implement. I am stricter when it comes to character creation homebrew. This means no use of classes or subclasses not in the 5e or 5.5e dnd books. I understand if you want to play an alternate race not outlined in any dnd books and I would like to help you bring your character to life. However, homebrew races must be approved by me before you bring them to the table. (see Creating a Character for my email if you want to get a homebrew race approved)
