The first few days and weeks of a new job, especially one that requires deep direct
engagement with people, is exciting, invigorating and exhausting. And these first few days
and weeks are crucial to developing sustainable habits in order to ensure the longevity of
your career. In this workshop, we will discuss the regulatory checklist that you can use to
plan, monitor, and evaluate your work and determine how sustainable this working style is
for your long-term career goals.

As part of this workshop, we will discuss case studies of people working in the fields of
medicine, social work, social advocacy, direct service work with people, teachers, childcare
providers, and others working in people facing careers. At the end of the workshop, folks
will leave with copies of the regulatory checklist along with some common next steps for
addressing common challenges to a long-term sustainable work life.
