Details

We are having an educational Food Insecurity Awareness Night where we plan to show a 30-minute documentary on food insecurity, then have a discussion. The documentary shows a community garden in rural Virginia and discusses how it can help address the food insecurity there. We want to show students how they can help food insecurity as well and why it is a problem. Our discussion following the documentary will involve talking about how prevalent food insecurity is in this area of Wisconsin and what the students can do to help.
