Guest Speaker Jason Soules
Talk: "Recognizing Internalized Transphobia"
Jason Soules sheds light on the many ways that we all struggle with internalized transphobia, even those in the transgender and gender non-conforming community themselves! Much like internal racial bias, we are all living in a world that sends us conflicting and damaging messages every single day. He explains the ways that he has realized his own biases over the last 5 years living as a transman, shares experiences from years teaching and mentoring youth, and poses important and uncomfortable questions to help us all see the larger impact of transphobia.
