Details
The one-hour play takes a modern young woman through a ‘ghosts of voting rights past’ tour of the women’s suffrage movement in the United States. It introduces us to 10 pivotal Women from the movement, while acknowledging historical BiPOC inequities within the movement. It also focuses on three important Wisconsin women that worked toward the 19th amendment and beyond. Lastly, in reinforces all the work that has come before us and reminds us why it is so important to be engaged citizens exercising our vote!!!
The event is scheduled for Monday, April 4, 7pm-8pm in the Great Hall of the MSC. The event date happens to be the day before the spring election with the hope that this performance may inspire more people to exercise their voting rights on Tuesday, April 5.
This event is free to all members of the campus and the broader community.
